Questions & answers

FAQ

What time should I arrive?
Our ceremony will begin promptly at 3:30pm, so please aim to arrive around 3pm and be in your seat by 3:20!
Where will the ceremony and reception take place?
Our ceremony and reception will take place at Fox Island Chapel, 400 6th Avenue, Fox Island WA, 98333. The ceremony is upstairs in the Chapel hall through the front door and the reception will take place downstairs.
Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?
The ceremony and reception will be indoors, but if the weather allows, we’re hoping to set up an outdoor area outside of the reception area to allow guests to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful view of the Puget Sound!
Will there be assigned seating?
With the exception of immediate family during the ceremony, seating will be open to all for both the ceremony and reception. Feel free to sit wherever you’re comfortable!
What is the dress code?
Our dress code is dressy casual to semi-formal! We’d love for you to dress up for the occasion, but comfort comes first! Think dresses, skirts, dress pants, button-down shirts, or a nice blouse. Suits and ties are welcome, but certainly not required! Nice, dark jeans are also perfectly fine. Wear what makes you feel good, and know we’re simply excited to celebrate with you! Early April weather in the PNW can be unpredictable, so we recommend bringing an extra layer to stay cozy!
Where should I park?
There are ten spots available outside of the chapel (including one disabled parking spot). Parking is also available perpendicular to the road along the gravel shoulder on one side of 6th Ave. On the opposite side of the street and around the cul-de-sac, parallel parking is permitted. Please avoid parking on 6th Court, per the chapel. Please be mindful of nearby driveways, mailboxes, and neighboring properties!
What time will the celebration end?
The reception commences immediately after the ceremony, and will wrap up around 7pm.
When is the RSVP deadline?
Please RSVP by February 21st, 2027 so we can finalize our guest count and make sure everything is ready for our celebration! We kindly ask that you respond by this date, whether or not you’ll be able to attend.
Who is included in my invitation?
We would love to celebrate with everyone, but due to limited space, we’re only able to accommodate the guests specifically listed on your invitation. This includes children! Please refer to the names listed on your invitation envelope to see who is included. Thank you for your understanding!
What if I can no longer attend after RSVPing?
We understand plans can change! If you’re no longer able to attend, please let us know as soon as possible by sending a message to either the bride or groom so we can update our guest count!
Will food be served?
Of course! Instead of a traditional seated dinner, we’ll be celebrating with a relaxed, grazing-style reception featuring a grazing table, a selection of warm soups with bread, and mini bundt cakes for dessert. Guests are welcome and encouraged to mingle and enjoy the food throughout the celebration.
Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
If you have any food allergies or dietary restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP! We’ll do our best to accommodate everyone’s needs.
Will alcoholic beverages be available?
Yes! We will have two signature cocktails available along with a selection of beer, wine, and nonalcoholic drinks! We kindly ask that everyone drinks responsibly and plans for a safe ride home.
What can we expect from the reception?
We’re keeping things relaxed and intimate! Rather than a traditional reception with a formal dinner and dancing (though you’re welcome to dance if it feels right – no shame or vibe checking here), we’ll be enjoying good food, drinks, music, and time spent celebrating with our favorite people.
Do you have a wedding registry?
Your presence on our special day means the most to us, but for those who wish to give a gift, we have created a registry through Amazon! Monetary gifts are also warmly appreciated as we save for our future home together. Please know gifts are never expected, and we’re simply grateful to celebrate this special day with you!View our wedding registry
Can we take photos during the ceremony?
We ask you to please refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We’ve hired a wonderful photographer and wish for everyone to be fully immersed in the moment with us. We promise to share photos after the event is over!
What is the weather typically like in early April?
April weather in Washington can be a little unpredictable! Expect cool temperatures and the possibility of rain. We recommend a jacket or extra layer, especially if you plan to enjoy the outdoor areas. Please keep in mind that the outdoor area in the rear of the chapel is mostly grass.
Is the venue wheelchair accessible?
The chapel’s main level is wheelchair accessible! The downstairs reception area can be reached by an indoor staircase or an outdoor concrete pathway that leads around the building. Guests who cannot use stairs may access the lower level using the outdoor pathway.
